Program Overview

大学 of The Albemarle’s (COA) Surgical Technology curriculum will prepare you to assist in the care of the surgical patients in the operating room and to function as a member of the surgical team. You’ll apply theoretical knowledge to the care of patients undergoing surgery and develop skills necessary to prepare supplies, 设备, and instruments; maintain aseptic conditions; prepare patients for surgery; and assist surgeons during operations.

As a graduate of this program, you’ll be eligible to apply to take the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting’s (NBSTSA) certificate examination for surgical technologists.
